Slacking Again
I'm doing it again. If I don't write as soon as I get home, I just forget. And it's not like unmemorable things are happening, I'm just lazy and distracted. Well, no chance at recalling what happened a few weeks ago, but a couple weeks ago it was memorysdaughter's last night before heading off to camp. We were beset upon by a group od handicapped adults who told us jokes for hours and made us laugh hard. Can't say I got a lot of henna done, but it was a worthwhile evening.

Last Saturday, Tammy came up from Ohio with Rachel and I taught them how to make henna. I use the simple "something acid/something sweet" recipe so they were thrilled to learn how easy it could be after reading up on complicated stuff like the coffee/tea recipes. And there must have been something attractive about them because I was doing henna all evening. I made as much in one night as it usually takes me two months to make there. Grand fun!

Today I might head up to Howell to do henna at WotA. This weekend is the Balloon Festival and I'll be up there on Saturday (back to back shifts of henna on Saturday). Oh and Lucky Money has already paid off. Thursday I have a private appointment for a woman who wants to get something done on her back for her honeymoon. Instead of lingerie. I think that's a great idea, lots more fun.

Getting calls that start with "Hey I heard about you from Crazy Wisdom" (or Lucky Monkey) are great. Makes me feel good to know my small efforts to promote myself are paying off. My new binder layouts are working really well and I went with color brochures this summer since people don't take them anyway. *laughs* I only made 20. I got a banner ad up on HT and hopefully that will funnel in some orders to move the stock for my website. If it's not Jamila, it doesn't seem to be selling. I still wish I could get an ad up on HP. That'd really help sales. Ah well, next year.
