I totally agree on the $1/minute thing. It's what I charge at festivals or the shop. I've seen other artists charge $50 for a design that can be done in about 10 minutes, which just floors me. However, when I go to people's homes/events, I do charge more for my hourly rate, which covers a variety of expenses I don't incur if folks are coming to me during normal shop hours.
