October Update
My week in Washington was fantastic. I'm so glad I went! I even got to do a little henna and while I was in Whitefish, MT I spoke at the Women of Whitefish luncheon. Just a quick blurb about what henna is and how I handle it as a business and then I did free henna on brave ladies. I was also pleased that I got to teach my friend Jess how to make henna and left some paste, a box of Jamila, a bottle and a few tips with her. I took a whole box on the plane because I figured paste would get confiscated and I didn't want to bring the box back opened - who knows what airport officials might think it was, right? I also got to do henna on my friend Des. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to meet up with Justine. But soon! Soon!

Since coming back, I've been catching up with orders and correspondence. I wasn't able to pull together a workshop on henna, but I do still have people who want to learn, so I'm trying to organize appointments for that to get it taken care of before I (hopefully) move. I did henna at a dorm night at MSU last Wednesday and took my nieces along. They got to make tie dye t-shirts and we went out to dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant afterward.

And there have been a few nights at CW. This most recent weekend, I had an appointment with Leigh who wanted both her hands done for her wedding. She was lots of fun! The previous two weekends were quiet except for visits from Sarah. One weekend, she brought her friend along. Susan got fired, so this Saturday is her last day. I plan to make some nummy body scrubs and a rice pack for her. Apparently, Bill just didn't think she was doing her job well enough. I suppose it was generous of him to give her two weeks. He's not exactly at the top of my list, though. He held on to a check I wrote in May and cashed it right before I went on vacation and I ended up overdrawing my account. If we move, I sure hope I can get some money back.

My UPS box expired last week, too. I haven't renewed it because I keep hoping we'll move. Also, I'm not really in a spot to shell out $20/month for an address. But I have to admit, I've felt safe not having my home address on my website. Ah well, maybe one more month and then maybe we'll move and it all won't matter anymore.

Coming up, I have appointments to teach and a three day gig in Adrian this weekend. Maybe I'll make enough to replenish that bank account, hmm?
